We kicked off the new year with five shows in January and a variety of guests, which included a comedy magician, a local comedian, an aspiring local comic who is an event planner, a comic putting together a one man stage show, and a comedienne that is Canada’s funniest optometrist. How’s that for variety?
The month started off with Amy Rederburg from DoSask, as part of the continuing Humour At Work series. Amy has her sights set on a comedy debut later this year.
Next, we brought back a repeat guest in Keith Tyler, from Los Angeles. Keith gave us an update on his one man stage show that is ready to debut, with a possible Canadian tour in mind.
From there, local comic Shawn Cuthand stopped by for a recorded chat about his upbringing and his comedy journey thus far. He also co-runs the Comedy Bone Schmomedy Zone with Danny Knight on Sunday evenings.
Zack Percell was next up with the Humour At Work series. Zack is a voice over artist, comedy magician and actor. Zack talked about his evolution into his entertainment career, his upbringing and how humour is used in his magic show.
We ended the month with the fabulous Rachel Sommer. Rachel is Manitoba born and raised, then moved back and forth between her home province and Australia, before settling in Australia full time with her optometrist husband and family. She was a fabulous guest!
As always, you can find all of these episodes on the website www.thestandupsitdownshow.com From there, in the main menu click on the “episodes” tab to stay in the loop and listen to all shows.
